Darryl Greene
Darryl has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Dakota Wesleyan University, a MBA in Business Administration and general management from Heidelberg College and a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Wayne State University. Darryl has been helping players see their dreams of playing basketball after college and high school since 1999. In 2010 he became a professor of sports management at Dakota Wesleyan University.
In 2012 Darryl took the newly formed Windsor Express under his wing to create the 2014 NBL Canadian Champion. Before taking taking over the spot of Director of Players he was the assistant coach for the Minot Skyrockets of the Continental Basketball Association. Darryl also set the all time single assist record for Minnasota State University Moorhead. After his college years he became a certified player agent for the National Basketball Players Association.
Darryl also helps Tiffin University with their Sports Mentorship Program by allowing students the chance to do a mentorship with him.
I learned a great deal from Darryl and the way he directs you during the mentorship is not always heard of in a mentor. He is very informative and detailed in what he wants and will ask you to explain what could have been done differently. I believe that Windsor Express is lucky to have Darryl on their side and they will continue to only grow stronger as a team.
Jennifer Cotter
Jennifer Cotter was my second mentor. Jen has been working with the city for 3 years she started off at the Golf Course and worked in the restaurant. She started working for the golf management helping them run the golf course while still helping in the restaurant. A few months ago she took the assistant building management job at the rec center while the current building manager went on maternity leave. The city did not want to hire someone new for this position but instead wanted someone who was already familiar with the city to work as a temp in this position. Jen worked alongside Julie to get an understanding of what her day to day duties were.
Jen grew up in Fort Lupton and not only knew the city but knew a majority of the residents. Her dad owned a snow removal company and worked for a lot of the residents as well as for the city removing snow. She took over her dad’s business after he passed away but was offered a job at the golf course that was a little steadier.
Having her as a mentor has been a great experience, she’s great on her feet and knows exactly what she is doing. She is extremely knowledgeable and is a huge people person. All of the customers like her and know her; they trust her to give them the correct information on all of the activities at the rec center. Now that the children's leagues are starting she is getting all of the local kids and parents excited about signing up and participating. Jen will be missed once Julie comes back from maternity leave but the city will have had a huge benefit from having her around.
